BLUE is the colour of the sky and the ocean and is perceived as a constant in our lives. BLUE is a conceptual colour and is the first of the cool spectrum colours and is the third basic colour tone. BLUE is cool (yin), crisp, clean and refreshing.  

BLUE skies are symbolic of optimism and auspicious opportunities. BLUE represents water  -  the source of life.


BLUE is the colour of sleep and twilight. The colour BLUE symbolizes depth, inward withdrawal, coolness, inner-wisdom, rest, truth, devotion, renewal and revival, purity, calmness and sleep.


BLUE is associated with spirituality, serenity, truth, communication, revelation, faith and trust.  


BLUE is associated with the colour of the Moon, and with the feminine aspects. Planets related to BLUE are Jupiter, Mercury and Neptune. BLUE is linked to Wednesday, the Elements of ‘Ether’ and Water, and the direction West. The musical tone for BLUE is ‘SO’. BLUE is related to the TEMPERANCE, MAGICIAN and HIGH PRIESTESS Tarot cards.


BLUE is the colour of communication with others, wisdom, truth, Heaven, eternity, receptivity, intuition and insight, spirituality, contemplation, mystery, patience, holiness, peace, stability, traditional and classical, loyalty, truthfulness, meditation and freedom. It relates to our emotions, calm, peace and healing, tranquility and devotion. BLUE is associated with freedom, strength and new beginnings, loyalty, faith, power and protection. BLUE is calming and instils composure and gentleness.
   
BLUE brings heightened intuition, inspiration, sincerity, peace, joy, tranquillity and faith and trust in the Self and others. BLUE is a colour that stimulates and encourages us to seek our inner-truths. BLUE helps us to attain mental security and to pursue our ideals and aspirations.  

BLUE stimulates spiritual security and our desire for inner-understanding.

The colour BLUE resonates with truth, loyalty, tranquillity, communication, speech, public speaking, ideas and devotion, peaceful dreams, dreamwork, prophetic visions and protection during sleep.

BLUE raises the consciousness to the realm of spirit and is the colour of meditation, spiritual awakening and development, intuition and insight, and connection with the angelic and spiritual realms.


BLUE is associated with reliability, trustworthiness and responsibility, open communication, clarity, cleansing, healing and protective qualities. BLUE draws an

BLUE represents inspiration and is a spiritual colour. The BLUE vibration raises our consciousness to the realm of spirit, hence the value of this colour in spiritual and Colour Healing, meditation and devotional services.  BLUE implies ‘notable intentions’ and is the colour for spiritual expansion and is the colour for truth, calmness, devotion and sincerity;  plus it is the colour of higher mental faculties. BLUE brings quiet, clarity and peace of mind.
   
The energy of BLUE allows us to look beyond and increase our perceptions and is a conceptual colour that urges us to seek our inner-truths. The colour BLUE stimulates creativity, faith, inspiration and devotion. Memories of the past are stimulated and the concept of time flows quickly with the energy and vibration of the colour BLUE.

BLUE tells of harmony and spiritual understanding. BLUE suggests loyal friends and sincerity and is seen as dependable, committed and trustworthy. BLUE is the collective colour of the spirit, and invokes rest. 

Dark shades of BLUE denote spiritual qualities and royal blue indicates good judgement and loyalty.  

INDIGO symbolizes self-mastery, spiritual awareness and awakening and resonates with increased inner-wisdom, realizations, understandings and profound insights.


BLUE causes the body to produce chemicals that are calming, but not all shades of BLUE are sedate or serene.



Vibrant BLUES (such as Electric BLUE) become dynamic and dramatic as it is an engaging colour that expresses energy and exhilaration.


Some shades of BLUE, or the over-use of BLUE may be seen as uncaring and/or cold.  

Bright BLUE denotes self-reliance, confidence, inspiration and positive energies.

Royal BLUE is appropriate for dining rooms and living rooms, whilst dark BLUE can be used successfully in study and meditation rooms and spaces.  

BLUE is also ideal for bedrooms and rest areas. People tend to be more productive when working in a BLUE room as they are calm and focused on the task at hand.

BLUE increases career opportunities, business acumen, finances and leadership qualities. BLUE is also good for long distance travel and/or house moves.

Clear BLUE is uplifting.  

MIDNIGHT BLUE has a sedative effect that promotes intuition and meditation.
   
DARK BLUE can be depressing, yet represents truth and moderation.

NAVY BLUE can be associated with restrictive environments. The colour navy BLUE represent conformity and a lack of individuality.

The colour BLUE gives a feeling of distance, and artists often use it to show perspective.

Use BLUE paper for notes when you want help with memorizing and remembering information or a speech.

A BLUE Iris represents an important relationship or friendship.

Too much BLUE can result in once becoming melancholy and ‘feeling blue’. Excessive BLUE can cause one to become dogmatic, arrogant, negative, self-righteous and self-centred. It may cause you to talk too much, speak negatively and gossip about others. Over-exposure to BLUE can cause one to be fanatical, hyperactive and prone to over-reacting. Excessive use of BLUE can also bring too much cooling energy.

Not enough exposure to the colour BLUE can result in one becoming withdrawn and depressed, manipulative, timid, unreliable, stubborn, suspicious, devious, resistant to change, scared, weak, clinging to tradition, inconsistent and dependent. It can bring about suppressed and/or swallowed feelings, and a lack of creative expression.

The colour BLUE awakens the intuition and eases loneliness, encourages artistic expression and enhances inspiration.


BLUE AROUND the WORLD and in HISTORY
-  BLUE was prevalent in the temples of Isis in Ancient Egypt.
-  In Eastern countries, BLUE coloured objects are placed in tombs to ward off evil spirits.  
-  In Greece too, the colour BLUE is believed to ward off the ‘evil eye’, and a BLUE bracelet or necklace is often worn for protection.
-  In China and Japan it is the colour of fortune.  In Chinese culture, BLUE is associated with wood, East and Spring.
-  In Iran, colours such as BLUE, blue-green and greed are sacred colours and symbolize ‘paradise’.  
-  In India, the god Krishna is often depicted with BLUE skin.
-  In Aztec culture the colour BLUE symbolizes sacrifice.
-  In Mexico, the colour of mourning is BLUE.
-  In Greek and Roman times, BLUE was associated with the sky gods Juno, Mercury and Jupiter.
-  The colour BLUE has Biblical significance and symbolizes ‘Heavenly grace’.  In the Catholic Church blue it is the colour associated with the Virgin Mary.


FAVOURITE COLOUR BLUE
BLUE is the ‘favourite colour’ of most people in the world and is a colour that has equal appeal to both men and women.


BLUE is universally considered to be the ‘friendliest’ colour on the spectrum and people who favour and/or wear it are seen as approachable and socially aware.  

Those who choose BLUE as their favourite colour are generally idealistic, enduring and patient people who tend to be nostalgic, peaceful, devoted and loyal souls. They are highly sensitive individuals who can commit to their dreams and ideals. They tend to seek contentment and peace of mind and do not quickly seek change in their lives.

Those who choose BLUE as their preferred colour often crave peace, quiet and the opportunity to fully relax and recharge their energies. They are very open and receptive to learning new things in regards to how they can help others with their natural talents, skills and abilities.

People who prefer BLUE are honest, straightforward and trustworthy.

A person with an aversion to BLUE may be a very disciplined, strong career-oriented worker, who may have an aversion of commentary or restriction. They may have a stubborn view of their desired direction.


BLUE CLOTHING  -  Wearing BLUE Clothes
The colour BLUE is the colour of healing, communication and sociability, and wearing BLUE suggests a knack for making everyone feel at ease.  It also indicates sociability and receptivity.  A person who wears a lot of BLUE may aspire to calmness and tranquility. Those who wear BLUE clothing prefer to be surrounded by love, affection and tenderness.

People who wear BLUE are generally self-reliant and intelligent and possess a great depth of feeling. They often feel responsible for others and enjoy decision-making,

Those who wear LIGHT BLUE prefer to do things their own way and do not like to be rushed or hurried by others. LIGHT BLUE wearers need a peaceful and secure environment in which to thrive.

People who wear DARK BLUE are said to be intelligent and self-reliant, and take on responsibilities. Wear DARK BLUE to feel emotionally stable, calm and conservative.


BLUE FOODS
BLUE food is not a common occurrence in nature (aside from blueberries and blue-purple potatoes) and does not exist in significant quantities as a natural food colour, therefore we do not have an automatic appetite response to the colour blue. Our primal nature also tends to avoid ‘warning colours’ as our early ancestors foraging for food considered BLUE, PURPLE and BLACK foods to be potentially lethal.


BLUE foods contain vast amounts of health-promoting phytochemicals such as anthocyanins and phoenolics, which are beneficial to the muscular and skeletal systems.

Of all the colours in the spectrum, the colour BLUE is an appetite suppressant.  When looking to lose weight, place your food on a BLUE plate, store your food in BLUE containers and even change the fridge lightbulb to a BLUE one. BLUE lighting can also be used in the dining area for the same reason.

BLUE Foods include:
Asparagus, billberries, borage flowers, blue corn, blue grapes, blue potatoes, blueberries, hyssop, juniper berries, pansy flowers, potatoes, plums, purple broccoli, purple carrot, seaweed (kelp), veal, and some white fish.


BLUE In Our DREAMS  -  Dreaming of BLUE
The colour BLUE appearing in dreams may represent your Spirit Guide/s (or higher spiritual beings) and Divine life purpose and soul mission. BLUE is stimulating to our spiritual security.  


BLUE can also suggest optimism about the future and suggests clarity of mind.

BLUE  In the AURA
Appearing in the aura in a balanced way, BLUE attests to love, trust and truth, honesty, inner-wisdom, reliability, rest, manners, confidence, tranquillity, patience, co-operation, a forgiving nature, sensitivity, belief, inner-peace and inner-equilibrium, reticence, devotion and an awareness of the Divine.


Lots of BLUE in the aura indicates an artistic and harmonious nature and spiritual understanding.

Bright BLUE denotes confidence and self-reliance and indicates a more positive person than one whose aura radiates a paler BLUE shade. People with bright BLUE in their aura are loyal friends and sincere and trustworthy people.  

LIGHT BLUE appearing amongst the other colours within the aura suggests softness, dedication to ideas and beliefs, conservatism, attraction to faith and/or religion, and sometimes voluntary solitude.

PALE BLUE is the colour of sensitivity. It shows a heightening of emotions and imagination.  

SKY BLUE in the aura shows a strong intuition, gut-instincts and being highly perceptive.  Although these attributes may be quite powerful, it is often not consciously recognized as a psychic ability or ‘power’ by the individual.


COLBOLT BLUE in the aura depicts pure intuition emanating from the higher mental levels.

BLUE appearing in the aura in an unbalanced way indicates fears and anxieties, exaggerated restraint, a lack of involvement, solitude and seclusion, depression and 
sadness, emotional coldness, passivity and self-pity.

BLUE in RELATION to the CHAKRAS
BLUE is associated metaphysically with the Throat Chakra and thyroid gland. This Chakra is located at the front of the throat and the base of the skull, and is linked to the neck, arms and hands and is connected with speech and speaking our truths. It encourages clairaudience and spiritual communication, and corresponds with our ability to communicate with others.


The Throat Chakra is our ‘Communication Centre’, and when opened and balanced it encourages us to communicate how we feel and what we think with truth with clarity. Being associated with the Throat Chakra, BLUE encourages communicating outwardly how we feel, what we think and the words we use to express ourselves.

When the Throat Chakra is blocked we experience difficulties with communicating our thoughts clearly, and can be manipulative in our speech. This can result in headaches and tension within the neck and shoulder muscles, and can manifest as colds, influenza, thyroid and/or hearing problems.
HEALING with BLUE  -  Colour Healing
BLUE is the colour of healing and of ‘Healers’, and has a healing, calming and soothing effect on the entire human organism.  

BLUE resonates with healing on all levels, calmness and peace of mind.  BLUE raises the consciousness to the realm of spirit and is the colour of meditation, spiritual awakening and development, intuition and insight, and connection with the angelic and spiritual realms.


The colour BLUE is linked to the organs of touch, nerve cells, the spinal cord, the brain by lowering brain-wave activity, and the skin and hair. BLUE is used to treat respiratory problems, bruises and burns, throat infections, and lowering fevers and infections. BLUE also treats sensory and emotional disturbances, gynaecological diseases and ailments, menstrual cramps and menopausal problems. BLUE also strengthens and shrinks tissues and slows the development of tumours. 

BLUE can be used to ease a fever, sore throat, ear infection, toothache, bee stings, colic, hyperthyroid, burns, itches and rashes.   3. I have a question and I'd greatly appreciate it if you respond. I've been seeing a tiny electric blue spark lately (and some white sparks too). Usually at night times, before bed or in the middle of the night. I know what I see is spirit/angel lights and the form of my inner self. Does it mean something else? Thank you.
